The InterClub 5K Challenge is coming up on April 17

UPDATE - So, we were a little light with people making the trip and did end up third (last). However, we had some notable placings, including: 1st in M40-49, 1st in F60+, and 5th in M50-59. Next year is due back in Rockland, so get ready to represent!

------------------------------------------

Come join us and represent TEAM RRR at the Inter-Club Challenge 5K race on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 11:30 AM. This year's event is in Orange County, NY and is hosted by the Orange County Road Runners. The Inter-Club Challenge is a points race between several of the local running clubs. The reward is bragging rights for the rest of the year. A bus will be provided only if we obtain the the minimum of 30 RSVP's. There is a fee of $5 per person, non-refundable to take the bus.

It is a fast course, so take advantage and support your team. We need more people to register in the next few days so we can get the minimum for the bus.

You must RSVP to Enilda Indyk, Activities Coordinator if you are interested in taking the bus from Rockland to Orange County. Car pooling or taking your own vehicle is also an option.

The bus will leave at 9AM on Sunday, April 17th from the Palisades Mall Commuter Lot J. Registration opens at 10AM. Departure time for the bus from Orange County is approximately 1PM or sooner if the results are announced early.

If you are interested in taking the bus please send $5 per person to Inter-Club Challenge Bus, RRR, PO Box 132, Congers, New York 10920. You can e-mail our Activities Coordinator Enilda Indyk with any questions at enildai@aol.com.

One of the great things about this event is the comradary and great food after the race while waiting for the results. Please bring a food dish, beverage or dessert in order to share with everyone.
