Get Ready for the Masters Challenge 5K on July 27!

The Masters Challenge Interclub 5K race will be 7PM on Wednesday, July 27 at Rockland Lake State Park (main parking lot).

This event is open to RRR members who are 40+. We are competing against the Westchester Track Club, Taconic Road Runners, NJ Masters, etc. The start of the race will be 7PM. Please arrive early to warm up.

The post-race party will be right at the Lake, in the finish-line area. Please bring some drinks or food if you can. No alcoholic beverages are allowed at Rockland Lake State Park however.

Additional Details:

The race uses cross country scoring, meaning that the place you finish is your score: 1st place = 1 point, 2nd place = 2 points, etc. For example, in the Men’s 40-plus division, each team scores its first 10 and adds up their scores. Low score wins. Anybody 40 or older is eligible for this category. There are two other categories: 50-plus and 60-plus with the number of scorers required listed below. The same method for Women, with the lower number of scorers required listed below.

Men
40+ -- 10 scorers
50+ -- 5
60+ -- 3

Women
40+ -- 5
50+ -- 3
60+ -- 3 scorers.
