Only 3 NYRR Team Points Races Left in 2009

We have competed in 8 NYRR Team Points Races so far in 2009, and we have 3 more to go.

The next one is the Norwegian Festival - Grete's Great Gallop Half Marathon on Saturday, Oct 3 in Central Park at 9AM. The race starts on the East side of the Park near 72nd Street and does a little more than 2 clockwise loops around Central Park, finishing near Tavern on the Green. Please register if you have not already.

After the Grete's Half, the next NYRR team points event is the greatest race in the world, the ING NYC Marathon. The Rockland Road Runners will again sponsor a bus to the start of the race (see the previous post for details). In addition, for runners who meet the qualifying time standards, Team RRR can apply for local competitive start positions. Information on this local competitive program is available in this previous post.

The last chance in 2009 for Team RRR to move up the standings in the NYRR Team Points competition will be the Joe Kleinerman 10K on Sunday, December 6, at 8AM. Plan ahead for this grand finale to the 2009 competition.
